Last night’s open show at the Sarisbury Green Social Club was a great success. All 13 bouts went ahead including 8 members of the Titchfield team.

First up we had young Riley Lockwood in his first skills bout, Riley rose to the occasion putting together all the skills he’s learnt during training and made a good impression on everyone that was watching.

Next up was Jimmy Brewer, time and time again he shows a level of skill beyond his experience and last night was no different, an impressive display of boxing in an exciting skills bout.

Tommy Harris was our third boxer to enter the ring in the first competitive bout of the night. Tommy has really turned a corner with his ability this season showing brilliant movement and power to secure himself a good win.

Next was Jack Higgins-Burnett, Jack is always improving but unfortunately didn’t do quite enough to bag himself a win, it was a close bout and both lads boxed well.

Straight into the ring after Jack was Harvey Newton, Harvey came up against a tidy and skilled opponent and showed great determination, however at times struggled to adjust his feet and find the correct range. At the end of the 3 rounds the win went to the other boxer.

Up next was Olly Blyth. After a big gap since his last bout Olly has improved his technique, strength and speed allowing him to have complete control through last night’s bout, at one point even knocking his opponent to the canvas with a straight left jab. A great win for Olly and team Titchfield.

After a quick interval Lewis Whitaker stepped up in his first contest, Lewis has been working very hard in the gym and it has paid off. He used his long range to make it hard work for his opponent to get close leading to a another win for Titchfield.

Finally Adam Feeley entered the ring in what was also his first contest. Adam has been waiting eagerly to get his chance to box and show what he can do. After 3 rounds Adam managed to get the win on a split decision.

A massive well done to everyone at Titchfield Boxing Club, onwards and upwards from here.

We would also like to thank everyone that came to the show and all the volunteers who helped out on the night.
